Kennel works closely in long-term partnerships with farming cooperatives and individual herb farmers all over Switzerland. These national partnerships and procurement from international organic production not only benefit farmers, but also our business customers and, ultimately, the end consumer. The result is top-class Swiss herbs and organic raw materials from all over the world. We can also offset fluctuations in local harvests by taking into account different areas at the same time.
Pretty much anyone can plant things. But looking after growth in the field and picking the perfect time to harvest is something only Kennel will do. That means we get our Wellington boots on and head out into the field – and we do this at least once a year for all our producers. Usually more often, in fact. Because close collaboration and sharing experiences benefits all of us.
In collaboration with our affiliate Dixa AG in St. Gallen, we offer a wide array of processing methods: drying, cutting, grinding, extracting, portioning, cleaning, sieving, mixing, tabletting, pan-coating, disinsection, analysing, etc. We fill all kinds of containers, from pouches to bottles – whatever you need, we’ll do it for you.
Quality inspections begin with a field visit. Every batch is inspected individually on arrival and only approved if it is absolutely flawless. In processing, we rely on our sister company’s expertise. They monitor all raw materials closely in line with legal requirements. Compliance with Bio Suisse guidelines is audited by the independent Swiss audit and certification body bio.inspecta.
